Biography

Emerging from Los Angeles in 1997, Cirrus took shape as the creative outlet of Aaron Carter and Stephen James Barry, drawing early notice as the next Prodigy largely through label promotion. The pair built tracks around programmed acid and trance breakbeats while incorporating live guitar and bass to draw rock listeners into their high-energy performances. Momentum from the widely anticipated single "Superstar DJ" led them to Moonshine, which issued Drop the Break in April 1997, followed by Back on a Mission the next year.
