Clara Ponty

Clara Ponty, a New Age pianist and composer, entered the world as the daughter of renowned violinist Jean-Luc Ponty. Raised across Paris and Los Angeles, she took up the violin at four before turning to piano at six and penning her first song by age eight. In her teens she enrolled at Interlochen Arts Academy and later trained with John Perry, Nelita True, and Aube Tzerco. After signing with Philips Classics she issued her self-titled debut album in late 1997, with Embrace appearing two years afterward.
