Claroscuro

Claroscuro, a Venezuelan rock trio, came together in 1992 when local bassist Miguel Delgado joined forces with Colombian guitarist Carlos Reyes and Argentinean drummer Javier Weyler. The Latin rock unit cut a four-track self-titled EP in 1993, after which its debut album, El Viaje De Una Vida, appeared on the independent Cygnus label in 1995 and prompted MTV Latino to rotate the video for "Mantarraya." In 1997 the band delivered a well-received set at Bogota’s Rock Al Parque and soon earned a nomination for Best Live Act in its home country of Venezuela.
