Biography
The indie pop duo Class, formerly operating under the name Zaius and based in New York City, featured vocalist/guitarist Peter Green—who founded the independent label Double Agent and published the fanzine Splashdown—paired with vocalist/violinist Leigh Tsai. An eponymously titled 7" EP issued in early 1997 marked their debut and emphasized a delicate, thoughtful acoustic approach, while the LP First Class arrived later that year and shifted into more ambient territory. The duo resurfaced in 1999 with the EP A Quiet Life.
