Biography
Claudia Morris has earned acclaim both as a vocalist and an actress, delivering performances infused with a refined jazz aesthetic. Her training encompassed acting studies at the Webber Douglas Academy alongside vocal lessons from the esteemed Ian Adams, paving the way for her initial forays into theater via multiple West End shows such as Camelot, Guys and Dolls, and Buddy. Following a period dedicated to family responsibilities, Morris refocused on her musical pursuits, receiving additional guidance from vocal coach Janet Edwards. Her first recording, Love & Demons, arrived in 2009, with Twelve O'Clock Tales appearing in 2011.
During this period she also issued the charity single "Light Up My Life," crafted under the production of Andrew Murray to benefit Allergy UK. Morris merged her artistic interests in 2013 by creating and appearing in the theatrical production Secret Love, which drew from the biography of singer and actress Doris Day; concurrently she inked a deal with Right Recordings in London and put out the related album Secret Love. Her fourth full-length effort, Here's to Life, came forth in 2017 and blended timeless standards with more recent pop compositions.
