Biography
During the 1940s Clifton Jackson served as a sideman with Harry James while doubling on tenor and baritone saxophone, only to vanish abruptly from the music scene thereafter. This figure must be distinguished from the stride pianist Cliff Jackson as well as from the baritone singer who shares the same name. ~ Eugene Chadbourne
