Biography
During the 1970s Clive Murphy belonged to the Tennors, a leading reggae act whose output on the Studio One and Treasure Isle labels yielded the well-known tracks ‘Cleopatra’, ‘Ride Yu Donkey’ and ‘Another Scorcher’. Expectations of a solo career surfaced early, yet tangible proof of Clive Tennors’ individual recordings only surfaced in the closing years of the 1980s. In 1986 he performed across several club engagements in Miami. After issuing a pair of singles he unveiled his debut album, which took its title from one of the Tennors’ signature numbers, ‘Ride Yu Donkey’.
