Biography
Coca Leaf fuse dub, no wave, and funk within their sweltering, indistinct improvisations. David Vassalotti and Carson Cox of Merchandise sit alongside ZZ Ramirez from the Ukiah Drag and Ben Greenberg of Hubble. The project traces its roots to Florida, Merchandise’s home state, where the musicians laid down their debut album in New York City throughout summer 2015. Although slated for August 2016, Wharf Cat Records ultimately released Deep Marble Sunrise in July 2017.
