Biography
Formed in 2020, the Norwegian extreme metal trio Coffin Storm draws its foundations from thrash, doom, and classic heavy metal. The lineup unites Kolbotn, Norway veterans Apollyon (Aura Noir/Lamented Souls), Bestial Tormentor (Infernö/Lamented Souls), and vocalist Fenriz (Darkthrone). Taking sonic cues from Candlemass, Celtic Frost, Pentagram, and Agent Steel, the group fuses its doomy stride with thrash accents and riff-centric trad-metal, yielding a recognizable yet forward-leaning style showcased on the assured 2024 Peaceville Records debut Arcana Rising.
