Biography
An assortment of veteran heavy metal musicians drawn from multiple European countries came together as Coldseed. The lineup included Swedish vocalist Björn "Speed" Strid (Terror 2000, ex-Darkane, Soilwork), German drummer Thomen Stauch (ex-Blind Guardian, ex-Iron Savior, Savage Circus), German bassist Oliver Holzwarth (ex-Demons & Wizards, Blind Guardian), German keyboardist Mi Schüren (Blind Guardian), plus unknown guitarists Thorsten Praest (Sweden) and Gonzalo Alfageme López (Spain). Their sessions first commenced in 2004, where they shaped an unusual fusion of hard rock, nu-metal and gothic alt-rock that resulted in the full-length debut Completion Makes the Tragedy, issued by Nuclear Blast two years afterward.
