Cole Phillips crafts country songs and performances rooted in an Oklahoma red dirt sensibility, relying on candid, introspective narratives drawn from lived experience. Still in his teens, he issued his first full-length project, the autobiographical No Town, Oklahoma, during 2024.

A Bridge Creek, Oklahoma native whose hometown counted fewer than 400 residents in the 2020 census, Phillips taught himself guitar, vocals, and songwriting while absorbing an eclectic range of music. Early influences encompassed country figures such as Zac Brown, Zach Bryan, and Cody Jinks alongside Metallica, Nirvana, and additional rock and metal acts. His initial independent solo work stayed firmly within country boundaries, and at age 18 the track “Drinking Alone” exploded on TikTok before appearing on streaming platforms in the middle of 2023. After relocating to Nashville, he secured management with Why&How plus a recording agreement with RECORDS Nashville/Columbia at the start of 2024. Titles such as “Drinking Alone” and the subsequent single “Stoned in Bridge Creek” mirrored the isolation and constrained opportunities of small-town existence; both cuts appeared on Phillips’ debut album, No Town, Oklahoma, released in August 2024.
