Biography
Coles Whalen spent two and a half years leading a Los Angeles band before shifting to a solo singer/songwriter path. After issuing an EP of her own material, she bought a truck and camper, then started performing at clubs while peddling the release across the western United States. Once sales topped 2,000 copies she concluded it was time to cut fresh tracks, which became her debut album Gee Baby, issued in 2005. She hit the road again—this time with a nationwide itinerary—appearing both alone and alongside a freshly formed band. Her follow-up album Nothing Is Too Much appeared in March 2007 via Iconic Records.
