Biography
Colleen McFarland, a country singer and songwriter, entered the world as the youngest of nine siblings and spent her childhood close to Jennings, Missouri. Her professional journey commenced at the age of 15, yet she pursued and completed a degree in music performance from the University of Missouri in St. Louis. Upon settling in the Northeast, McFarland took to stages at clubs and festivals, supplementing this with voice-over assignments and jingle compositions. The independent releases Speaking in Rhymes and Three Miles from Odessa marked her initial album efforts. Nashville became her new home in 2003. Under her 9th Child imprint, she independently issued her third album, Beautiful Lie, on May 1, 2006, before embarking on a European tour during 2007. Appearances on the network shows Northern Exposure and Swingtown highlighted several of her compositions. High Horse Records launched her fourth album, Let It Shine, on January 5, 2009.
