Originating in Łódź, the award-winning Polish hard rock/post-grunge ensemble Coma assembled in 1998 around Marcin Kobza, Rafał Matuszak, Piotr Rogucki, Tomasz Stasiak, and Dominik Witczak. Influences from Pearl Jam, Led Zeppelin, and fellow Poles Illusion prompted a 2003 contract with BMG/Poland, which yielded the debut album Pierwsze Wyjście z Mroku the next year. The 2006 sophomore release Zaprzepaszczone Siły Wielkiej Armii Swiętych Znaków attained gold status, while the critically acclaimed double album Hipertrofia followed in 2008. Excess, the group’s first English-language effort, surfaced in 2010 and preceded the platinum-certified self-titled fifth studio album in 2011. Don’t Set Your Dogs on Me, their second English-language album, arrived in 2013.
