Biography
Hailing from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Complete Failure emerged as a metal group that fused the sincerity of metalcore with the innovative touches of post-metal and the raw intensity of grindcore. Impressed by their distinctive and ferocious style, SuperNova Records—the label owned by Steve Austin, frontman of Today Is the Day—inked the band to a deal and put out their first album, Perversions of Guilt, in 2008. Comprising Joe Mack on vocals, Erik Wynn on guitar, James Curl on bass, and Mike Rosswog on drums, the group dedicated the remainder of that year to live performances promoting the release.
