Biography
Computer Games emerged as a duo blending pop and indie rock elements infused with an unmistakable '80s atmosphere, sharing the nostalgic bent of contemporaries such as Bleachers and Walk the Moon. Glee's Darren Criss teamed up with his older sibling Chuck, previously of Freelance Whales, to establish the project, seeking both to honor the musical influences from their youth and to enjoy collaborative moments as brothers. The bright rhythms characteristic of artists including Miami Sound Machine, Lionel Richie, and Phil Collins shaped much of the material on their initial EP, Lost Boys Life. This four-track collection, which came out in the first part of 2017 and was helmed by production outfit the Elev3n, included the horn-heavy track "Every Single Night" that evoked the essence of Richie's 1983 hit "All Night Long." In February 2022, Chuck Criss passed away at 36 years old.
