Biography
Computer Perfection draws on art rock, '60s psych, and dream pop in the vein of Stereolab and Broadcast, deploying vintage synthesizers and bright male-female vocals while incorporating several members of Detroit's Pas/Cal. Gene Corduroy, Bem, Nathaniel Burgundy, Stevers McFever, and Aaron Q assembled the project soon after the 2008 appearance of I Was Raised on Matthew, Mark, Luke & Laura. Following a temporary relocation to New York by Bem and Corduroy, the latter shared previously recorded demos with his longtime associate Burgundy upon returning to Ferndale, MI. The resulting trio worked together intermittently over the following year to establish the basis for their debut full-length, We Wish You Well on Your Way to Hell, issued by Le Grand Magistery in November 2009.
