Biography
Emerging as a pseudonymous project tied to the seasoned indie rock outfit Yo La Tengo, the Condo Fucks purportedly originated in New London, Connecticut, with a lineup that included Georgia Condo—also known as Georgia Hubley—on drums, Kid Condo—also recognized as Ira Kaplan—handling guitar duties, and James McNew providing bass. During 2008, this ensemble delivered one of the concluding performances at Brooklyn's Magnetic Field venue, while a "secretive Hoboken rehearsal" that featured covers of Richard Hell, Small Faces, Troggs, and Beach Boys songs ultimately produced the album Fuckbook, issued through Matador during the spring of 2009.
