Biography
The Christian acoustic rock duo Connersvine consists of Chris Wilson and professional footballer Hunter Smith. The pair first crossed paths in 2001 and quickly bonded while leading worship for a young adult ministry in southern Indianapolis. Although born and raised in Texas, Smith moved to Indianapolis after completing a four-year stay at Norte Dame, where his football skills earned him a contract with the NFL Colts. Wilson, for his part, had already begun studying guitar and assisting with local worship services during middle school. The two soon started collaborating at Every Nation Church, allowing their musical partnership to take shape. In 2007—the year the Colts captured the Super Bowl—Connersvine signed with INO Records, recorded their self-titled debut, and saw it released that October.
