Biography
The Cootees originated as a side project uniting Mike Herrera on guitar and vocals with Tom Wisniewski on drums, both drawn from MxPx, alongside bassist/vocalist Dale Yob from Ninety Pound Wuss and ex-NPW member Jiles on vocals. Although the members initially set out to write and record material focused exclusively on parties and the beach, they soon recognized that their combined chemistry could support more substantial songwriting. The group released its debut album, Let's Play House, in 1997.
