Biography
Having co-founded Sleater-Kinney fifteen years earlier, riot grrrl Corin Tucker appeared at a benefit gig in Portland, OR and wove several brand-new compositions through her solo performance. Those additions led Tucker, whose Sleater-Kinney work had been on hiatus since 2006, to shape the material into a complete album. She carried the songs to Little Gold Book Studios in northeast Portland and tracked the eleven-track record there with percussionist Sara Lund of Hungry Ghost plus Golden Bears members Seth Lorinczi and Julianna Bright. The finished project, 1,000 Years, appeared in 2010.
