Assuming the professional identity Corinne Miller, French vocalist Corinne Hermes—who would capture the 1983 Eurovision Song Contest—initiated her recording career in 1979. Born November 11, 1961, in Lagny-sur-Marne, France, she issued her lone single, "La Ville ou Je Vis," via the Carrere label; the following year brought her appearance on the double-LP musical comedy soundtrack 36 Front Populaire with Julien Clerc. After retreating from visibility she resurfaced in 1983 under the adopted name.
