Biography
During autumn 1997, Council of the Fallen originated in Myrtle Beach as a two-piece act. Guitarist/vocalist Kevin Quirion and drummer Derek Roddy spent the ensuing months developing material and captured their demo without a bassist slightly more than two years afterward. Martyr Music Group took interest in the self-titled recording in January 2000, prompting the band to sign with the imprint. Around the same period, Sean Baxter—fresh from Broken Hope—entered the lineup, after which the trio tracked Revealing Damnation. Spring 2002 saw the album’s release, which the group supported with a tour.
