Biography
Forming the duo Cousins & Conrad, Dave Cousins—longtime singer and songwriter for the British folk and progressive rock group the Strawbs—joins forces with Conny Conrad, frontman of Germany's Dark Ocean. On their joint 2005 release High Seas, the pair handle multiple instruments throughout, while Cousins takes every lead vocal role and Rick Wakeman contributes piano to the track "Deep in the Darkest Night." Reflecting the style of Cousins' Strawbs output, the record merges folk-rock with prog rock elements.
