Biography
Covenant Worship serves as the musical outreach arm for the interdenominational Covenant Church located in Dallas, Texas. Pastors Mike and Kathy Hayes founded this church in 1976, and it has since developed into multiple campuses throughout North Texas with a membership numbering approximately 10,000. The band mainly consists of songwriters, singers, and worship leaders David Binion, Nicole Binion, Joshua Dufrene, and Colin Edge, together with the Covenant Church Choir. They put out two live worship albums on Integrity Music: Standing and the 2014 release Kingdom. Israel Houghton, a Grammy winner, produced Kingdom, in addition to writing or co-writing eight songs and appearing vocally on multiple tracks. Two further powerful concert recordings came afterward in 2016 with Take Heart and in 2017 with Sand and Stars, both also released by Integrity Music.
