For close to forty years Craig Dillingham contributed to the growth of country music across west Texas. He joined the family ensemble known as the Dillingham Sisters at age eight and stayed with the group through the 1960s and early 1970s, appearing regularly throughout the region. Launching an independent path in 1972, Dillingham spent the next three years on tour as the opening act for country-pop singer Ray Price. He joined the regular cast of Louisiana Hayride in 1976. While recording for MGM’s Curb subsidiary during the 1980s, he landed five titles on Billboard’s country charts; the most successful, Willie Nelson and Philip Norris’s “Have You Ever Loved Your Woman Today,” reached number 32.
