Biography
Creeping Pink takes its title from a vivid perennial bloom and serves as the “tape glam” endeavor of Landon Caldwell, also known from the California garage-psych outfit Burnt Ones. Caldwell launched the endeavor in Indianapolis, initially tracking damaged electronic psych-rock as Bad Magick before swiftly adopting the Creeping Pink moniker. After moving first to San Francisco and later to Los Angeles, he issued a steady stream of cassettes and digital files while sometimes performing as Creeping Pink Machine alongside fellow members of Burnt Ones and POW!. In 2015 John Dwyer’s Castle Face imprint put out the project’s first full-length album, Mirror Woods, an assemblage of woozy broken-synth psychedelic pop.
