Biography
In their hometown of Washington, DC, Crispus Attucks first surfaced in 1995, evoking the spirit of Minor Threat, Bad Brains, and Faith. The quartet channeled the raw tension of politically charged early-'80s hardcore through a lineup of Jamie on vocals, Mattucks on guitar, Hard Pat on drums, and Soft Pat on guitar. They issued their debut self-titled full-length independently in 1997. Soda Jerk Records later signed the band, issuing the follow-up Destroy the Teacher in 1999, followed by First Album in 2001.
