Criss Angel fuses the craft of illusion with the energy of rock & roll, ranking among the era’s most impactful and commercially dominant practitioners of magic. Christopher Nicholas Sarantakos, who grew up on Long Island, launched his professional path in New York City during the mid-’90s. The off-Broadway production Criss Angel Mindfreak later became the basis for a television series. That widely viewed A&E program, joined by a same-titled album and a Las Vegas stage spectacle, featured Angel executing perilous feats alongside street magic. Later productions such as Amystika and Criss Angel Believe, together with additional TV series and specials, books, music projects, and retail lines, cemented his standing as one of the leading magicians of the twenty-first century. Beyond his roles as magician, musician, and illusionist, Angel has directed millions of dollars toward pediatric cancer research and support.
