Cristiano De Andrè

Hailing from Genoa in 1962, the Italian vocalist, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Cristiano De André—progeny of established musicians Fabrizio De André and Enrica Rignon—assembled the ensemble I Tempi Duri at the start of the 1980s ahead of his prosperous independent path. That unit issued only the 1982 album Chiamali Tempi Duri before disbanding. His first solo effort, issued under his own name, arrived in 1987 and was followed by additional releases such as Sul Confine and Scaramante.
