Biography
In 1997, guitarist and vocalist Zac Damon left Reno, NV pop-punk outfit Zoinks! and immediately launched Crushstory with guitarist Jim Bowers. Their hybrid of '60s mod punk and '80s power pop prompted 702 Records to issue the debut EP as a split with the Gain that year, then follow it with the self-titled CDEP. After a short tour drew comparisons to Weezer, Chisel, and Elvis Costello, Pop Kid Records put out the band's first full-length, a+Electric, in mid-2000.
