Biography
Cyd Ward, a singer and songwriter who grew up in the Pacific Northwest, sampled an array of musical styles before committing to folk. Those early experiments fostered a fluid blend of influences once she took up the guitar in the late 1990s. Emphasizing layered vocal harmonies and favoring introspective, close-knit material, she launched performances throughout Florida after relocating and steadily developed a local following. Along the way she captured several songwriting competitions, then captured her songs on disc with the 2002 release of Between the Lines.
