Biography
London on Da Track, born London Holmes, emerged from Atlanta, Georgia, as a hip-hop producer and rapper whose early partnerships with 2 Chainz, Young Thug, and Drake quickly generated attention across the scene. Holmes first entered rap and hip-hop circles at sixteen by aligning with the crew Dem Guyz, where he sharpened both lyric writing and arrangement abilities through regular piano work at a neighborhood church. Soon he was constructing original instrumentals and supplying beats to local acts, among them the Rich Kidz cut “Pieon.” The year 2011 marked his initial Young Thug collaboration, “Curtains,” which inaugurated an extended series of joint efforts with the fellow Georgian. Steady productivity marked 2012 and 2013, during which Holmes contributed to projects by Waka Flocka Flame, Gucci Mane, and Rich Homie Quan, ultimately securing a contract with Cash Money Records. Shortly afterward he accumulated production and songwriting credits on releases by Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, and Drake. In 2017 Holmes established his own imprint, L.I.V.—short for “living in volumes”—and issued his debut solo recording, Who Would’ve Known. Two years later he delivered the charged single “Throw Fits,” featuring G-Eazy alongside Young Miami of City Girls and Juvenile.
