Dahlia's Tear functions as a dark ambient endeavor that crafts immersive, visceral sonic environments drawing listeners into otherworldly realms, serving as the solitary outlet for Sweden-based creator Anile Dahl. Since surfacing in 2005, the project has delivered multiple well-received full-lengths such as Dreamsphere, Through the Nightfall Grandeur, and Across the Shifting Abyss, each weaving together strands of electronic, doom, neo-classical, and industrial music.

The debut arrived that same year under the title Harmonious Euphonies for Supernatural Traumas Mesmerising Our Existences in Radiant Corpuscle Galaxies. Critics highlighted its near-symphonic character and strong musical focus. Dahl issued a pair of efforts in 2007—My Rotten Spirit of Black, which leaned industrial, and Under Seven Skies, which favored melodic qualities. Following a five-year absence, the artist resurfaced with the widely lauded Dreamsphere on Cold Meat Industry, merging industrial and symphonic textures around an emotive, human center. Extended quiet preceded the 2018 arrival of Through the Nightfall Grandeur via Cryo Chamber; both that record and its 2019 successor Across the Shifting Abyss represented some of the project's most expansive and richly detailed statements. Dahl also issued thorough reimaginings of the initial two albums in 2019, endowing them with greater depth and sonic weight.
