Biography
In 1987 the little-known Washington, D.C. trio Dain Bramage issued the album "I Scream Not Coming Down," which attracted scant notice. Drawing from Television and such post-punk outfits as Gang of Four and Mission of Burma, the band encountered a cool reception inside the capital’s hardcore community. Guitarist Reuben Radding and bassist David Smith formed the group’s creative core. One distinction endures, however: their teenage drummer was David Grohl, later renowned through Nirvana and the Foo Fighters.
