Daisycutter forged an industrial rock sound that merged the abrasive force of Big Black with the pounding intensity of Ministry. Allusions to Monster Magnet prove relevant as well, given that percussionist and vocalist Tim Cronin had previously performed with the group and that guitarist Ed Mundell departed to join them once Daisycutter inked a deal with Homestead and issued the Shithammer Deluxe EP in 1993. The lineup featured Jim Hogan on bass and vocals, Reg Hogan on drums, Kim Rausch on guitars, Mike Schweigert handling guitar and noise, vocalist Seth, and Cronin, who together delivered their first full-length album, Truck Fist, in 1994.
