Biography
For years, Dale Morningstar, frontman of Dinner is Ruined, had felt a genuine reluctance toward recording a solo album even while sensing he possessed one. He deliberately sidestepped the project during idle hours spent engineering numerous releases at Gas Station studios, until the point arrived when he accepted that moving forward was unavoidable. His debut solo album, excluding a little-heard self-released effort from 1988, appeared in 2002 and revealed his gifts as a lo fi pop singer. Captured via a low key approach and a melancholy voice, I Grew Up on Sodom Road reached listeners in the summer of 2002.
