Biography
Emerging from a household rich in musical heritage, where his father performed opera, a great-uncle handled clarinet, and his grandfather played violin, Dan St. Marseille developed into an accomplished cool-toned tenor saxophonist. He spent his early years in El Toro, CA, establishing himself from the late '80s onward as a reliable presence across the Los Angeles and Orange County jazz circuits. Through Resurgent Music, the label he founded and continues to direct, he has preserved his own recordings since 1992 while also issuing work by other leading Los Angeles-based jazz players.
