Biography
Dana Parish drew considerable critical notice through her commanding, emotive vocal presence and her penetrating skill as a songwriter. Raised from birth in the Philadelphia suburbs, she began composing material at the age of thirteen, spurred partly by the guidance of her vocal instructor Paul Adkins. Parish later trained at the Manhattan School of Music, performing solo engagements when feasible while also serving as a backup vocalist. Company X Records issued her debut album, It Was Beautiful, in 2003. The same imprint released her second project, Uncrushed, late in 2007; Andrew Hollander produced the set, which was recorded at Sugarbox Studios in New York City.
