Biography
Growing up in the Bronx amid a local tradition of street-corner singing, Oscar-nominated actor Danny Aiello, renowned for his performances in Moonstruck and Do the Right Thing, took part in those vocal sessions himself. His screen work encompassed a singing role in Once Around, which also featured Holly Hunter. Rabbit Ears issued the spoken-word album Pinocchio by Aiello in 1993, backed musically by Les Misérables Brass Band. During the 1980s he appeared in the video for Madonna's "Papa Don't Preach." At age 70, Aiello issued his debut single "All of Me" in March 2004, and IN2N Records followed one month later with the standards collection I Just Wanted to Hear the Words.
