Biography
Lyrical rhymes steeped in introspection and rooted in routine hardships mark the work of rapper Danny Watts. A native of Houston, Texas, he secured an early opportunity by reaching out to Jonwayne on social media, which prompted an invitation to collaborate with the producer and fellow rapper. Wayne, who required an in-person meeting at his Los Angeles base, hosted Watts, who soon appeared on the track "Rainbow" from Rap Album Two, the inaugural release on Wayne's Authors Recording Company. Seven months afterward, Watts issued his debut album Black Boy Meets World, again produced by Wayne and serving as Authors' second title. Immediately following its release, he left his retail position to join an extensive U.S. tour as Wayne's opening act.
