Genre: Avant-Garde, Noise, Heavy Metal, Doom Metal
Origin: U.S.A
Darsombra, characterized by its originators as a purveyor of "trans-apocalyptic galaxy rock," explores an array of auditory landscapes encompassing drone-infused doom, intricate progressive rock, and opulent ambient psych-pop. Formed by Brian Daniloski, who handles guitar, vocals, and effects pedals, alongside Ann Everton on synthesizer, gong, and vocals, the pair initiated their recording and touring endeavors circa 2005. During this period, they performed alongside acts such as Jucifer, Wino, and Thrones while issuing recordings through esteemed indie imprints including At a Loss, Public Guilt, and Exile on Mainstream. Commencing a partnership with Translation Loss and Sonic Meditations in the initial months of 2016, the ensemble issued Polyvision toward the end of that autumn.
