Biography
Dave Crossland, who grew up amid the coal mines and farmlands around Akron, Ohio, issued his debut EP to receive nationwide distribution, Fields of Promise, through Appleseed Records in 2000. Not long after that record appeared, he turned his attention to crafting his first full-length album. The pair of releases highlighted his singular folk approach, which blended fervent anthems centered on social justice and the American terrain with a selection of quieter ballads.
