Biography
Born in Connecticut, David Alpert launched his professional path by penning songs across an array of musical genres and styles. Children's music nevertheless remains his preferred focus, prompting the release of two albums: Sounds Familiar in 1998 and My Front Porch the following year. Tracks from these projects earned the 1999 Parents' Choice Gold Award along with two Platinum Awards from Oppenheim Toy Portfolio, while outlets such as Family Fun and Mothering Magazine offered favorable coverage and endorsements. Among the selections featured on his recordings are "Skip Along Down the Road," "Little Wall Clock," "Pokey Little Cowboy," "Blue Sky Lullaby," "Bubble in Trouble," "Friends Day," "Accidents May Happen," "Family Strong," and "London Town." Although engaging and playful, most of the material conveys an instructive element or uplifting message aimed at young listeners.
