Biography
David Mott first saw the light of day in Hinsdale, Illinois, and went on to train in composition at Hope College, Berklee College of Music, and Yale University. His principal instructors included John Bavicchi, William Maloof, Robert Morris, and James Drew. World music and jazz leave a deep imprint on his output, which has earned him multiple awards across both large-scale and compact compositional forms.
