David Rojas

Born in Illinois, David Rojas grew up amid an expanding evangelical Latino community in the Chicago metropolitan region. He launched his performing life at an unusually young age, appearing before sizable church congregations by the time he turned six. Pulled toward music ministry, local voices pushed him to channel his gifts into professional work. Family strains marked his teenage period, yet the vocalist attributes his rescue from despair to God’s intervention that reversed those hardships. As stage experience and a name for vocal work accumulated, the longstanding aim of issuing a solo album drew steadily nearer. Producer Abel Esteban Pérez and Iluminacion Music Group made the 2006 release of Me Levantare possible. Rojas kept touring afterward, staging concerts and leading worship to promote his debut project.
