Biography
A British singer achieved prominence during the mid-1970s as part of the vocal ensemble Guys And Dolls, remaining with the act from 1974 through 1977. He departed the group alongside fellow member and romantic partner Thereze Bazar to establish the duo Dollar. The pair secured eleven chart placements from 1978 until 1982. Their romantic split prompted a pause in joint recordings, prompting each to pursue individual paths. Van Day achieved modest success via his sole solo release, the track ‘Young Americans Talking’. Subsequently he focused on managing performers before reuniting with Bazar in 1986 to resume their musical partnership at the point it had paused three years prior. By 1998 he had joined a reconstituted version of Bucks Fizz.
