Biography
In the late 1990s David Zweig, serving as guitarist, singer, songwriter, and arranger, launched his career through local appearances across New York City. He built a devoted audience by shifting between quiet solo sets and high-energy rock performances that included bass, drums, and horn sections. Keith Cleversley, the Flaming Lips producer, heard a demo from Zweig and volunteered to produce the songwriter’s first album, All Now With Wings. Released in 2000 on Zweig’s own Ebb & Flow label, the album earned unanimous critical praise and reached the Top 20 on eight of its 50 college playlists. Zweig finished Keep Going in 2003, again working with Cleversley under the Ebb&Flow imprint.
