Biography
British singer-songwriter DC Gore fuses incisive wit and erudite observations into polished, groove-oriented synth pop. After fronting the South London trio Little Cub, Gore launched a solo career whose first statement arrived with the 2022 album All These Things.
Dominic Gore assembled Little Cub in 2015 with Duncan Tootill and Ady Acolatse, naming LCD Soundsystem and New Order among his touchstones. The band played its inaugural show in 2016, secured a Domino contract, and issued the singles “Loveless” and “My Nature,” followed by the full-length Still Life in 2017. Reviewers lauded the album’s sleek electronic arrangements and its candid, reflective lyrics. Once the group disbanded, Gore kept writing, shifting toward greater acoustic instrumentation while sharpening the social critique in his words. After remixing TVAM’s “Porsche Majeure,” DC Gore unveiled his debut solo single, “California,” in 2021. Further tracks followed—“Nietzsche on the Beach,” remixed by the KVB, plus “I Like You” and “Sisyphus.” The full-length All These Things appeared on Domino’s Double Six imprint in 2022, co-produced by Gore and Tootill with additional production from Tom Gillieron.
