Biography
De Magia Veterum operates as a solo avant-garde black metal endeavor led by the prolific Mories, known simply as M., whose other involvements span Ophiuchus, Pompidou, Aderlating, Dimlit Hate Cellar, Astral, Cauteror, Soulwound, Atrocious, and the experimental collective Gnaw Their Tongues. Since its launch in 2003 the project has issued material at a steady pace, including the 2004 demo Clavicula Salomonis, the 2005 full-length Spikes Through Eyes, the 2006 EP The Blood of Prophet and Saints, the 2007 demo The Apocalyptic Seven Headed Beast Arisen, the 2009 album Migdal Bavel, and the 2010 EP In Conspectu Divinae Majestatis, each one intent on expanding extremity via unrelenting sonic destruction.
